Geo-spatial Hotspot Analysis

Performed hotspot analysis on taxi trips big data of New York city using Apache Spark tool. Optimized the solution using Getis-ordinate mathematical computation formula to calculate the adjacent cells to a given cell. AWS EC2 Hadoop/Spark clusters were used to improve the performance of the computation.
